Damaged door how to disguise hole

My bathroom door has been knocked somehow and damaged. I've peeled off the bits sticking out and given it a light sand. Is there anything I can buy or use to disguise the hole/blend it in. I have previously used clear varnish on the door but I don't see that hiding this.

I think wood filler comes in colours, you may be able to match it.

You could fill and try to colour match paint. But it will be hard to make it invisible that way because of the wood grain pattern.

If you filled it and repainted the door you could probably make it vanish. Or if on the inside cover it up with something.

If you could colour match the veneer and grain (probably unlikely) maybe you could paste an entire rectangle over that panel section and then varnish over to give the same finish. Hopefully the edges of the veneer would not be too visible.

Thanks for your tips

I would fill it with tinted wood filler and then paint the grain back in with a tiny bit of acrylic paint.
