Simple question, how long did you wait to receive your memorandum of sale? Buyers offered a week ago, not provided ID yet.

It was about a week for me. I (buyer) provided my ID, proof of funds and solicitors details a couple of hours after my offer was accepted. It was actually the seller who took a few days to confirm her solicitors details.

That was my experience last time, this time it will be 11 days, inc weekends if they drop ids off when they say.

Have they said what the hold up is?

Have they chosen a solicitor yet?

That's the only thing I can think off that could be holding things up, if their contacting/getting quotes (but that really should have been done before imo) as sorting ID and bank statements doesn't take long!

Sent proof of funds, but has to go into EA personally with proof of ID. Not in the area so next week soonest they can make it

I was wondering the same. We accepted an offer for our house 2.5 weeks ago. It did take us a few days to get our solicitor sorted - the buyers already had one in place (I would estimate that we delayed it by a week), and buyers IDs have been approved etc. However, we still haven't received it.

For our purchase - our offer was accepted on Tuesday, and we sent the relevant things over to the estate agent that day. We received the Memorandum of Sale for our purchase yesterday - so less than 48 hours! (But still waiting on the sale one.)

It took around 9 days for our MOS as the buyers needed to provide proof of funds and mortgage offer.

Ours are cash buyers, already have solicitor instructed, just slow providing ID. Keeping fingers crossed for Monday, when they said they are taking it in. Previous sale fell apart earlier in the year, so not holding my breath.... HATE the British way of selling & buying.
