Plugging dehumidifier into 2 socket extension

Not sure why but I have a lot of healthy respect for (or maybe fear of!) electricity and don’t want any fire hazards in my house

My new low energy dehumidifier says on the box it uses just over 1amp. I have no power sockets in my hallway so I use an extension with an LED lamp plugged in.
If I used a 2-socket adapter on the wall to plug in both the dehumidifier and the extension with the lamp, that would be fine, right? Because the adapter has a 13-amp fuse and the only other thing plugged in is the lamp which I doubt will be using 12 amps?

Completely fine. Fuses are designed to blow if something is unsafe, switches drop out in the same situation, it keeps everything very safe.

Thank you, that’s put my mind at rest! Most sites on Google said they must be plugged directly into the wall but I couldn’t work out why for modern low energy dehumidifiers
