Potential roof issue

Hi 👋🏼

I have had a surveyor done on a property I am buying and the surveyor noted some water damage to the loft conversion bedroom around the eaves cupboard on the gable wall and also front soffit.

I am worried about there being a potential roof leak (implied possible by surveyor) and unsure how to handle it. The seller says they fixed it but the surveyor believes the problem persists.

should I get a roofer to take a look and try to locate a leak if there is one? I don’t know anyone who can recommend a roofer in the area

thanks for your help

I would get a roofer to take a look & speak to your solicitor. Ask them for the guarantee or receipt for the work if they've had it fixed,?

Get a roofer round to review and quote, and use this to negotiate off the price, unless they have a transferable guarantee for the works.

Does the seller have the receipt for the roof work?

I’m getting a roofer to check, thanks for your help
