Tough wall paint

Hello - I am looking (after previous helpful advice from mumsnet) for tough white wall paint. Stuff that wipes, lasts, can withstand knocks from bikes, chaotic, bag-swinging children and so forth.

i have seen - Dulux trade diamond matt or eggshell finishes, Johnstone's equivalent ranges.

— specific scuff proof paints, such as Benjamin Moore Scuff X, or Dulux scuff proof range

any thoughts/experience? Is satin/eggshell best? Is it best to go for paints marketed as ‚washable/wipeable‘ or alternatively ‚scuff resistant‘. I am confused by the choices out there!

I am not too bothered about price…I just want it to perform well.

I really recommend Johnstones, and would go in and chat to them if you have time, they're knowledgable and helpful.

You are looking for it to say Class 1 Rated Scrubbable Matt or whatever finish. I get advice on this from professional decorators on social media. They use Benjamin Moore Scuff X or Johnstones typically. But yes talk to the people in any decorator centre, very knowledgeable but you need that Class 1 rating.
