Quiet cooker hood recommendations?

Thank god our cooker hood has finally given up the ghost - it was a cheap useless article and sounded like a plane taking off when it was on.
It's an open plan kitchen so that was a pita - I wondered if anyone has found a quiet but efficient hood .any recommendations would be v welcome .

Go on AO and filter by decibels. The different makes have different decibel levels for their different models. We went with 35-40decibels and it's quiet

If you look on the Quiet Mark website they have quite a few recommended cooker hoods.
