Shoddy tiling nightmare

I really just need to vent - we're nearing the end of a bathroom renovation and yesterday the tiler completed his work. It is awful: tiles misaligned, different sized grout gaps, a joined tile that is so obvious it jumps out at you, resin on mitred tiles that is a total mess, etc. This was a final bit of work after we ran out of tiles and had to get more to complete the job. We're in the fortunate position we can pay someone else to put it right, even if it means ripping the plasterboard off and redoing that, but we'd still have to find someone and schedule the work.

I've been awake half the night angry at what this guy has done in our home and the fact that the work was nearing the end, but now there's more stuff to fix. I don't know how some people sleep at night.

Have you told him you’re not happy? I insisted that a broken brick on a patio edging was replaced - idiot told me it was weathered, not broken. Unfortunately for him he kept on saying that as the boss arrived who took one look at it and sent the assistant to get a new brick and redo it. I appreciate that this is a much bigger problem but you do need to spell out what is wrong. Have you paid him?

The worst bit was put right by someone else. There was something else going on with the guy I think and DP paid him to get him out. In future we'll be more forthright.
