Media Wall

Could anyone with a media wall advise on the depth of theirs please?

We are looking to add one but some places are saying they need to be up to 60cm deep which seems a lot to me!

It will depend what you want to put in it. Mine has a panoramic fire in under the tv bit so does come out about 60cm or so
