Thoughts on Cheam?

Hi, does anyone have know much about Cheam? Particularly the area around quarry park road between Cheam and Sutton? Seen a lovely but quite pricey house that backs onto Sears park with gate access. We have two nursery age kids and this would be a long term home.

what are the schools and local amenities like for kids around the area?

All Sutton's schools have a very good reputation and Cheam (as opposed to North Cheam) is a desirable area. There's not a lot to do for adults TBH but with a small family, is that an issue? There seem to be plenty of groups, clubs etc. for children both there and in central Sutton.
We started out in Carshalton and Cheam was on the list of places we would happily have moved to (except my work took us out of London entirely).
