Roof report

Hi, just looking some advice. Our buyers lender wants a roof report before approving the mortgage. Anyone heard of this before ? Thanks.

Having bought a house with major roof problems that’s blighted my life for the last 3 years, it’s something I’d definitely consider for a future purchase. How old is the roof?

Sorry I just saw you meant the mortgage lender not the buyers. The lender must have concerns about the integrity of the roof, maybe something that was flagged in a survey.

Yes I think it was the survey. So worried it won't go ahead now.

What happened? We have never had problems but it is a very old roof I think.
