Seeking area recommendations in West/Southwest/South London

Hello Everyone,

We’re first-time buyers looking for advice on purchasing a house. I work in Tedding but most days work from home, and my husband commutes daily to St Barts Hospital, so we need good transport links to central London. We're currently in Putney but can't afford to buy here.

We’re looking for a freehold, two/three-bedroom house with potential for expansion, a garden, parking (ideally), and good schools nearby. Our budget is around £550,000, with some flexibility for the right property. Ideally, we'd like to stay within TFL zones to keep transport costs down.

We've considered West Molesey (near Hurst Park) and Worcester Park, but neither felt ideal. Any suggestions for areas in West, Southwest, or South London would be greatly appreciated!

Depends on pricing so if Putney is too expensive and assuming you work in Teddington (as the word got cut off!), does that fit the bill? If that's a bit far out, how about St Margarets? Or, totally different vibe, Clapham/Wandsworth borders - a touch cheaper than putney maybe.
Depends what you're looking for so flats are a bit cheaper than they have been, especially in some ways in 'posher' bits of London' so you could look at Sheen or Richmond.
