Just that really! Getting the kitchen completely re-done and the thought of getting rid of the extractor is appealing but they are expensive. Does anyone have experience of them good or bad? Thanks

We have a Bora. Love it.

We have a Bora too, love it also. Expensive but worth it.

Get a circulating one or look at modern pop up ones.

we saw a Bora in a showroom and I was very unimpressed. if a pan boils over, surely the vents will then get full of water and be hard to clean? and the big vent thing in the middle takes up far too much space.

so I didn't get one, but they do seem very popular at the moment.

I was on the verge of buying one but realised that it would commit me to buying the same again if it broke in 3 or 4 years - ie would need to fill the worktop cut-out exactly. Am going for a standard induction hob and a decent flush mounted ceiling extractor, and it works out cheaper.

We have had a Bora for 7 years. Very easy to clean. No issues with vents getting full of water if pans boil over.

Thanks all - just how much are the Bora ones? I can't see prices only "contact us for price"? Was looking at the ones recommended in the Which? reports which are Neff or Siemens

We have a Miele one and love it.

Our Bora one is a self circulating one (if I’ve got that right) and I think was between 3-4K a couple of years ago. We did scratch it early on so have the Lakeland protector on it now which is also great and worth buying.

Also loving the bora in our Island, the vent did need to go under the floor at construction stage for our extension so that is a consideration if you are building

I think they are ideal for an island or very high ceiling if they can be extracted externally eg during building works, then they don't ruin the eyeline.

I wouldn't have a recirculating one, but i am more keen to extract steam than smells.

Thanks all
