I moved into an adapted council flat 4 weeks ago for my son, since moving in we have had nothing but problems, Rat infestation (the back garden looked immaculate on inspection) floor crumbling, wall crumbling, we had a water leak 3 weeks ago from upstairs took council 2 days to come out and when they did they said they would be back as upstairs didn't answer, I thought they would go upstairs to fix it when they could get in and all would be well however today the leak has come back and has bubbled all the wall (I already had to postpone carpets because of said leak) I then look and the wall is peeling, I look on the other side of the wall and at the ceiling in my daughters room and peel it back to find a very large crack the size of the ceiling and black mould! And it's all wet, a plumber come back out and again tried to knock upstairs with no answer and told me to knock tomorrow! I rang council who says "we can't just force entry we will have to keep trying" and I have to wait 4 weeks for mould inspector and someone to look at the plastering work on ceiling, is there anywhere I stand with all of this? I have only lived here 4 weeks! Our paint work is ruined, I can't get carpet down still because of the leak that can't be fixed and because they will need to replaster, I can't air the flat with the mould as there are rats outside! I could honestly break down in tears!
