Kitchen redesign ideas

Halp! Current kitchen is deteriorating rapidly and doesn't function as well as it could for the size. Floorplan attached. We currently have a small table in the middle and an armchair / dresser along the wall with no units. I wondered if anyone had any bright ideas? I quite like the idea of making the recessed bit (where the oven is) a small walk in cupboard and having a peninsular with bar seating on the wall along between the window and the double door.

I'd either have cuoboards on left wall with a peninsula facing towards right side, table at window side.
Or, my preferred, would be facing the garden with a table by window. How you arrange fridge, sink, hob, oven depends on your preference.
Attached are my amazing drawings.
S = sofa, t = table. In alcove by sofa, put book shelves/unit/bar. Use understands as a larder.

Oooh I love this!! I wonder if there is enough room for a table with the island there 🤔 I hadn't thought of the island there, thanks!!
