So excited. Had to tell someone. Had a viewing today and sign the tenancy and get keys on monday.
It took 15 months of bidding on a band E.
Came no 6 on the bidding list, but still got shortlisted.

Congratulations. It’s a really nice time of year to be settling into a new home. The fall and winter are my favorite months to enjoy “just being at home”.

I'm in the US and I don't know what sheltered housing means. But I'm glad for you !!!

Sheltered accommodation is individual flats / houses / bungalows that have, usually a warden, and and a 24 hour call service.

So for people who are independent but have some care needs or may be prone to a fall.

Some are in the grounds of traditional care homes, they often have a communal space as well.
