Hi everyone, getting a new kitchen installed. Have always used gas, but thinking to switch to induction now. I do Indian cooking mostly.
I was thinking about AEG combo oven ( induction with two gas burners)
Has anyone used it?
Would you recommend Induction over gas?

I had always had a gas hob until 3 years ago when I moved into a house with an induction hob. I was intending to get rid and get a gas cooker installed but DS who's a chef persuaded me to try it first. I am glad he did as it's wonderful. I wouldn't go back to gas now. It is so quick to heat up. So safe as the pans heat up not the hob. Everything cooks much faster and it is as controllable as gas. It is so easy to clean.

I had to buy new pans but my old ones were tatty so that was no problem.

Edited to add: My induction hob is a Samsung with 4 induction rings of different sizes.

I used to always prefer cooking with gas. I then had 2 gas and 2 induction 'burners' when I moved house. They have different advantages and disadvantages. If you have never used induction I would try it out with 2/2 before giving up gas.
Everyone has a personal preference.
I like having both but still prefer cooking with gas. It is also nice to have an alternative when you run out of gas or if your electrics are not working.
The brand makes little difference. No reason to pay extra for an induction top ; they all work exactly the same.
