Help regarding completion

Hi all,
Ive received an update from my solicitor regarding where we are with moving.
we are buying and selling in a chain.
the chain goes -
FTB, my buyers, me & my husband, my seller (his house is empty so chain ends with him).

we are at the point where all searches are back, we’ve signed our contracts etc and this has been ongoing since end of July.

I’ve just got an email and wondered if anyone could help?
Will contact my solicitors but it’s out of hours now so I can’t call.

‘They are dealing with the final point on their sale which is confirmation from first port the information in the LPE1 remains accurate.

In short they have refused to confirm and my buyer has needed to pay for a full new pack, end of last week’

looking it up briefly it looks like an LPE1 is a lease agreement? So unsure if my buyers property is leasehold?

is this a big delay? A full new pack at the end of last week sounds like a lot?

like I said I will contact my solicitor tomorrow just wondered if anyone knew more about this matter this evening.

Thank you in advance for any advice!!

Also I am assuming my buyers buyers are FTB, I am not actually sure.

LPE1 is the form (with accompanying docs) that the management company of a leasehold flat has to produce for the vendor of a leasehold flat to be able to sell the flat (that vendor's buyers' solicitor will request it). The vendor usually has to pay for it (a few hundred pounds) and it can take the management company weeks to get it done. FirstPort have a poor reputation. That's the bad news. The good news is that there's probably little updating they need to do from July (possibly nothing at all has changed) so it might just be that a new signature and date is all that's required.
