What carpet should I get?

Doing up our stairs. The staircase wall will have this wallpaper: https://www.worldofwallpaper.com/wonderland-tropical-wallpaper-gold-holden-91191.html

White banisters.

What carpet would you get? All suggestions welcome.

DH thinks a neutral/beige loop pile, but I’d really like a complementary (or contrasting) stripe. Aware this may be ‘too much’, but I’m a fan of too much. 🤣

You want something plain. I think sisal, jute or similar would look very nice. If you want colour maybe blue or green.

The wallpaper is your OTT @ThatTealViewer! I always like hardwearing neutral carpet. It's so expensive and difficult to change, I like it to last for ages and go with whatever decorative changes I chose!

Careful with sisal. We had it and it shredded your feet. Was like walking on cheese graters
