Insulating a summerhouse

Has anyone tried doing this with loft insulation, or similar?

We have a 2mx2m summerhouse which it would be useful to use all year round. Obviously there are (small) windows and the door wouldn't be insulated, but would it make a difference if we did the walls and roof (and maybe put a carpet on the floor?)

TIA

I did this and it does help. Using loft Insulation between BBC battens then using thin cladding.

It does keep it cooler etc.

If you use any kind of combustion heater you would need a vapour barrier as well.

You could also use multifoil insulation which would work better for the thickness used or even something like kingspan but would cost more.

Yes I did this, loft insulation and ply on the top. My DC used to sleep in it all summer 😂, from nine and ten onwards.

Thanks both for the advice. I shall be giving it a try.

I did this with dog hair (I know), we have loads as had a salon at the time. It didn't smell like wet dog when it rained which was a relief 😂
