Hi , just after people's experiences with the housing waitlist as all new to me , I'm not looking for arguments or debates, I just want to know if it's normal of your queue position to fluctuate so much , I joined several months back and was in the low 69- 100s for flats and 230s for houses , and now suddenly this month I'm like 170s for flats and 300s for houses . Just wondered if that was normal to jump between these figures . Band c , 1 child, low medical needs , living with parents currently, before anyone digs I'm well aware of the housing and long wait times and can patiently wait unless my situation gets better to private rent, my area is around 3-5 years for my band , I just want to no if the fluctuating numbers are normal . Thanks

I really would like to know the answer to this too. I live in north west, band 2 for overcrowding since 2022. My position is never lass than 100 and goes up to 400 sometimes on some properties. I don’t understand this and honestly it’s not looking like I will ever be offered a home with those numbers in my position. I would really love to know if anyone was made an offer who was in a similar situation to us.

Sorry to hear your still waiting, I've only been on it 8 months band c , but one minute I'm like 60-100 9n flats and 200 on houses and the next I'm nearly 200 on flats and 300 on houses , but some have priorty to bands or those with no tenancy so I think that's why I change figures each time , frustrating as lots of houses have planning permission but they stall on reserve matters slowing everything down . And for some reason I've never seen anyone in my band get offered a house only flats seems abit like discrimination to me as some of the flats here are bigger than a 2 bed house . Wishing you all the best hope you get somewhere soon
