How long until enquiries are raised?

I know... how long is a piece of string right but how long would you give your solicitor before chasing?

He advised me on Friday that the local searches had been returned on the 9th September and he also received the paperwork from the sellers solicitor on the 12th (seller very very slow).

I am just waiting for him to raise any enquiries now and he told he'd let me know when he's sent them to the sellers solicitor. How long would you expect to wait or how long does it normally take for solicitors to actually review all the paperwork and raise enquiries?

I know the enquiries stage can take a while and we might be waiting weeks for answers from the other side, so I'm just keen to get things moving and actually get any enquires over to them asap, especially since there's already been a delay.

How long did it end up taking @mammania we are in the same situation!

@iloveyoubutilovememore it took just over a week for my solicitor to send the enquires (I did chase though and she sent them that afternoon) so I think it would have been longer if I hadn't chased her!

It's now been just over 2 weeks and we're still waiting for replies from the other side 🙃
