Is it difficult to fit blinds to a bay window?

I have a bay window in the living room, not a massive one, it's a mid 90s house. The windows are double glazed but there's still a bit of a draught in the winter, I would like thermal backed roller blinds. I know curtains would be better but the idea of trying to get a curtain rail and curtains fitted stresses me!
Currently have roller blinds but they are very light almost sheer ones - fitted professionally about 9 years ago and cost a lot! Can't afford that again, so needs to be a DIY job.

Might be worth looking at Perfect Fit blinds (Blinds2Go do them)

Do you sew ? You could make your own thermal blinds very easily and they would custom fit! A blind is just a rectangle of fabric that basically has hems on 4 sides . You add velcro to the top edge and glue the other velcro to the top of your window. You can choose any fabric you like and line it too to help keep the cold out.
Then you only need to add drawstrings every 10 inches or so to create the self -folds. You can easily find diy on YT with stop by step instructions.

Go for it!

We have a bay and fitted a track to the ceiling (made the curtains myself), and we have rollers from blinds 2 go. About £200 for the rollers and easy to fit.

I got some from Blinds 2 Go, Was about £100 and paid someone to fit them which was about £25. That was 5 years ago. B2Go often have discounts and you can order samples.

Mine were fitted inside the recess so there was some measuring involved to make sure I got it right but that's explained on the website/ can be found via Google

Definitely not making my own - I can imagine how that would go 😁

Sounds like blinds to go are worth a look, might see if there's a local handyman that would do the fitting if I think I can't manage.
