Tips on where to live in Brighton and Hove

Hi all,

We are looking to move to Brighton & Hove and would love some tips on which areas to look at. I am late 30s and my husband mid-40s, we don't have children ourselves so schools aren't an issue but we will need at least a 3 bed for when my two adult stepchildren visit. 4 rooms would be ideal.

Budget is 750k (max 800k but would rather a bit less) and we would like to be in close proximity to good restaurants, bars and green spaces as we have a dog. I am thinking Hove, but are there any other areas (or parts of Hove) you would recommend? Thank you!

After having lived in Brighton for a few years, I would 100% recommend Hove. It's much nicer and greener. We lived in Round Hill in Brighton and the neighbors were a big reason we sold. We purchased a new build in a development of 4 houses and the neighbors were just awful to us, over some spat they had with the developer that had nothing really to do with us. Another one of our neighbors moved within a year of purchasing. So yeah, definitely Hove. Brighton is meant to be shabby chic but it's just shabby, there's always garbage everywhere and the people are horrible.
