Easement for council to access

We are in the process of buying a house and I am in two minds whether to pull out. There is a patch of land at the bottom of the garden but directly in front of the garage door that has an easement that allows the council or anyone that they sell their land to next to the property to be able to lay pipes, sewers, electricity, telephone lines etc on this land and connect to our pipes. Husband doesn't see the issue, but I don't like the idea that the council can just come and dig a patch of the garden up. We have 2 kids and 3 dogs. I'm also concerned about being able to sell the house again afterwards with this easement. Would you buy a house that has this? There is also a council owned playground next door which might also affect its sale.

Well they’d only do it once, and they’d return it to the previous condition after they’ve finished the work.

Lots of houses have easements. They allow specific people access for a specific reason when necessary. It’s not the same as a right of way.

Is there a likelihood of a major development going in? Councils are building like mad on any bit of land near me.
