Has anyone painted fireplace tiles?

Looking for some advice - recently moved into my first property and it has a 70's tiled fireplace with beige and pink ceramic tiles. I'm not going to be in a position to change the fireplace for a couple of years so was looking at painting the tiles as a short/mid-term solution. After a bit of online searching, I've found this brand that does paint specifically for fireplaces: https://www.stonelux.co.uk/fireplaces.htm

Has anyone experience of doing something similar? Any advice would be appreciated! It's not a working fireplace.

Thank you!

Interested in this too as I have recently been thinking about the same thing.

The paint link is for painting the actual fireplace, not the tiles, so don't really know if it will be ok to use on the tiles.

I've painted the tiles and the hearth on a fire surround using French Chic paint and a small roller. Worked well. We don't light a fire in that fireplace though.

We had terracotta tiles on the hearth. Behind the wood burner was painted. I painted both using Tikkerila Muuri. I used the woodburner almost daily over the winter and the paint looks great - no problems at all.

I painted my mums tiles just using normal paint. Removed the back tiled panel and just painted the wall the same colour as the walls were. Think it looks much better but this is with an electric fire. Prob not what you were asking though lol.

Thanks, everyone, really helpful. Will have a look at some of the paint options. The fireplace is basically similar to this one in terms of the style of tiles and size (not design).
