Merton Park Tube Noise

We are a family of 5 looking to move to the area. I have been warned off the area near Kingston Road as we have been told the houses suffer from tube noise and vibration. I am relatively new to London but surely this must be a common issue with the Tube and therefore not important?

It depends whereabouts you want to live. If you buy on Kingston Road itself, your greatest concern will be traffic noise.

I can promise you that we don't suffer from any of the noise or vibration from the tube where we are.

But whereabouts are you looking?

We are viewing houses on Mina, Milner, Brisbane and soon Melbourne. We definitely heard the tube and felt vibrations at the Brisbane viewing.

Ignore the blue direction line - I can't delete that for some reason! - but the faint grey line shows where the Northern line runs under the streets. So on that basis, you'd be better off looking at Mina Road. For Melbourne Road, it depends which end of the road you're looking at.

Sorry - I thought I'd added a map, but each time I post, it doesn't show up!

Brisbane and Milner are both much closer to the route of the Northern line, whereas Mina is further away. Lower numbers of Melbourne are furthest away.
