Roof work quote - is it reasonable

I had a roofing specialist come round and they’ve said two sets of hips from the valley needs re-cementing because the old concrete there is completely worn and cracked. FYI It’s a semi-detached 3 bed house (medium sized).

They’ve quoted £800 + VAT for this. It includes labour, materials, and removing all the dirt, waste.

Is this reasonable?

I would get a couple more opinions and quotes.

I don't know, but won't cement crack again in the future. I think gullies were once lead but i would have thought that today there would be some impervious material for it.

I’m not sure either. I’ll get another quote - thanks.

We are planning on a loft extension in about 10 years so he said that this fix will solve this for longer than that time. I didn’t want to throw too much money at this now.

I forgot to mention the roof is 34 years old

That’s sounds a decent price. Our house we’ve sold earlier this year had to have similar done first quote was triple then subsequent quotes were significantly lower.
