I’ve just purchased my 3rd Henry and I can’t get it to hoover the carpets? What am I doing wrong?? I suffer from degenerative disease of the spine and can’t push it! My old one broke several years ago and I’ve got an upright Shark, I find that painful to push but this Henry is impossible! Help please.

Do you need to adjust the setting on the floor head from hard floors to carpet.

I have a mix of hard floors and rugs and I can't shift it if the setting isn't changed for the correct surface.

I hated my Henry! I don't have a bad back and it made my back really hurt! His nose kept falling off too...
On the head, there is a kind of little flap, which you can open and close: when it's open, the suction is less so you can hoover carpets. Try this. But I sent Henry back (for the nose reason) and I much prefer my upright now, it's so much easier to use.

We had the same issue, was like it didn't move! We ordered this: Airobrush and it is much easier. You can get cheaper fake versions on amazon. Once we had this I loved him again.

AiroBrush

Henry’s always been powerful, but the AiroBrush takes carpet cleaning to the next level.

You need the AiroBrush. Hugely improved Henry Hoovering and feels much lighter to use.

I hated Henry. I returned it and went back to my trusted brand, Miele.

I suffer from a degenerative condition in my spine too (stenosis) and I don't use our Henry at all as I find it way too heavy to manage. I bought an upright Goblin from Asda - the bagless, "pet hair" version and I love it - it actually has better suction than my Henry and is so light that I can actually do the hoovering without being forced to stop because the pain in my back is so excruciating.

I had a Henry for years but the long hose got on my nerves. Have now got an upright Shark. I love it. No messing about with bags. Detatchable handheld part. It's great.

Henry is a pita.

I'm sorry to interrupt the thread so late too, but is this the one you have @AddictedToBooks please?

I can't see a specific pet hair one, but I really need an affordable, easy to use hoover.
