After seeing this thread too late to save us from a lot of heartache, I wanted to flag that the same individuals involved are now trading as Urban Living (website urbanliving.london), in the hope of saving others from what we went through.
We employed them to do a large project and thought we'd done our due diligence, after getting multiple quotes (of which theirs was not the cheapest.) They were recommended by an architect, I checked out their reviews on Houzz and the references they gave and Gus (Gursharnjit Grewal) was very convincing and reassuring in person.
In reality, he disappeared off the job having not managed the project adequately during the time he was around, he failed to maintain contact with Building Control and so a number of inspections were missed.
The unsupervised builders onsite completely ignored the architect's plans, among various things, building one wall too high, which had to be made lower, and failing to install an extractor fan in a toilet, which had to be rectified after they had left the job, at further expense to us (and much more expensive than if it had just been done at the time.)
The electrics they were involved with were described by a professional as being "unsafe", the finish - or complete lack of - is going to cost us thousands to rectify, and we're only just starting to discover issues with the build itself, such as, as a very basic example, gaps between external walls that should have been filled, not being filled properly, resulting in damp, guttering and pipes not draining to where they should causing damp etc etc.
If a job could be done badly, without due care and attention, it seems to have been. I cannot tell you how much we wish we had never employed them and I really hope that this post will ensure other people don't suffer at their hands.
