Roof leaking what to do?

Single mum here, we've had a dormer attic conversion done a few years back. The roof had a few leaks so had it repaired by a roofer that did a rubbish job with it. Last month asked another roofer to repair it. They did a repair and said they had a ten year guarantee but were really reluctant to write that down in the invoice. They then said they'd redo the whole roof for us for an extra amount which I told them I'd think about and then went ahead with, I wanted before and after pictures of the roof but they only gave me partial pictures of a one corner segment. When I asked for pictures of the whole roof the roofer replied "stop asking 50 times for the pictures I'll send it you later besides I did the job for you cheap" I only asked twice for the photos. Theres a large leak happening now through the light fixture in the attic ceiling. The roofer has blocked me on WhatsApp. He gave me a contact number for his "head office" which was actually a taxi drivers phone number and now he's not answering phone calls. I'll be calling a different roofer tomorrow for a repair but I'm quite lost right now on what to do I've obviously been scammed by the first roofer I have a leaflet that they've given and a paper saying 100% money back guarantee and 25 year guarantees on all work. As well as a checkatrade sticker on their leaflet however looking on checkatrade now I can't seem to find their company. I have Halifax home insurance would a ceiling leak be covered by them if it was done by a dodgy roofer? And any advice on the situation with the dodgy roofer. Quite tight on money at the moment so the payment given to the roofer going to waste is really upsetting right now.

No it wouldn't be covered by home insurance if it's faulty workmanship unfortunately.

Not sure on advice on the other things but hope you get it sorted it sounds awful

Bumping in the hope someone can advise. Trading standards? Have you looked him up on company’s house? Been in touch with checkatrade? Maybe they booted him off.
