Survey stated electricity box broken

ive Just had a survey to buy a house, surveyor said couldn’t inspect meter as the box housing it was defective.

would it be reasonable to expect seller to fix this?

I would expect the seller to fix this.

It will be down to the electricity company and I doubt the owners can dictate how quickly it gets fixed.

Seller should really fix this, but I wouldn't lose a house you like if they won't, it wouldn't be an expensive job to sort it.
