Layout ideas for 1930s house

We've bought this 1930 house- just waiting for the exchange date

This is the back of the house. Bathroom and utility are brand new and there is also a an office and second hall way to the right and main all and living room to the front. The seller swapped the utility and bathrooms to put in a wet room downstairs.

There is an unused chimney and fire place in the dining room adjacent to the kitchen wall. French doors in sitting room. Breakfast area bay window is on a half step.

Budget 50k negotiable- including new kitchen.

Current dining room to become a sitting room with log stove but the rest of it is a blank canvas.

The sitting room and breakfast area are extension with pitched roof.

Could put in one big bifold or two smaller ones or keep as is. Would like an island but fear it too small or awkward?

It's not clear what you want to change and why?

Oh yes sorry was not clear at all! Probably because my first post deleted and had to start again.

I'd like to modernise the layout into a kitchen living dining area

I'm not sure whether to remove the wall between breakfast area and sitting room into a new dining area

Or keep wall get rid of breakfast area and make a bigger kitchen with island and have the sink in a kind of lean to window. Or have a French doors in place of bay with an island.

The kitchen need a total redo

We will put in log burner and I to existing. Dining area and have that as a cosy sitting area

I have no experience of this or dimensions etc

Would love a 6 seat table.
