Amtico - Mimosa / Julep / Gibson

Has anyone got any of these and would be willing to share pictures?

We are refitting my ensuite and I'm having pink units (CGI on room dimensions), pink marble-ish tiles in the shower (CGI on pic with shower tray fitted) and as a splashback above the units and white walls everywhere else.

I've had no idea about flooring, don't want tiles, don't want wood effect. Went to a showroom yesterday and saw these samples and liked the pink fleck bits in the Mimosa, but worried that overall it is too dark.

The Julep doesn't have the pink flecks, but is a lighter grey.

The Gibson shows pink flecks online, but doesnt have any on the sample we got.

Did a room visualiser (on the CGI of the units) and the Mimosa is showing as much pinker than the sample would suggest, I though it would be too dark grey but it seems more brown-y.

Wanting to see real-life pictures and any comments if anyone has any of these please.

I think the rendering is off, the colours look much different on the samples in the actual room. But samples can be misleading.

Honestly?
they look quite industrial with the plain pink units…..

Chasingsquirrels · 01/09/2024 08:37

Yeah, I really like the samples, and I really don't like the rendering.
Hence wanting actual pictures not rendering of the room as theh just don't seem right to me.

The only other alternative I liked was a whitish marbled effect tile. That was Karndean though so I'll have to find their visualiser.

The walls look green. Are they? If not, then better lighting may give a better rendering.

I still think it looks hospital bathroom, but that may be the green walls.

What about www.amtico.com/products/ss5s2620/

Chasingsquirrels · 01/09/2024 08:58

No the walls aren't green - but it is all just computer rendering (CGI of units used for visualiser for flooring) so it isn't really an accurate representation o don't think.

I didn't see that in the shop but saw it online this morning. My concern with that was too much pink!

The pink shower tiles and the pink units are removed from each other - by the floor and the rest of the walls. Using a pink marble floor takes that away.

Hmm...

I wouldn’t put pink with pink. I think you need a contrasting floor colour in maybe grey or even a pale wood effect. A white floor with flecks would work too

latelydaydreams · 01/09/2024 09:08

If you can change the wall colour in the CGI before you render it, you may find it a bit easier. The green tinge throws everything off.
Agree that it may be too much pink, but the sample images (not the rendering) look quite pink toned.

In general, you need different tones/colours textures to get a room to come together.

Onyx marble.

I've just ordered some more samples online as can't get to the shop until next weekend.

Agreed, I don't think pink flooring would be good, it was just that the grey with a pink fleck seemed to tie it together to me. But the rendering of it (and even the rendering of just the floors without the room - 1st set of pics) are coming out quite pink.

latelydaydreams I'll try playing with the walls, but they are a download of the brochure the bathroom company sent me.

FWIW I already have the units (not yet fitted), and am really happy with them, so that's not changing.
