New boiler installation

Hello all

Hope you’re having a good weekend.

I am hoping you can provide some advice and/or share your experiences of a new boiler installation.

DH and I are having a full rewire done, then shortly after (Oct/nov) we will be replacing the existing condensing boiler as our current one is on its last legs.

We both live in a two storey house which currently only has one bathroom on the first floor. We are expecting to have a second bath/shower room installed on the ground floor in the next couple of years. A few more years down the line we will have a third bath/shower in the loft.

Ideally we’d like a condensing boiler with an unvented pressurised boiler so that all three bath/showers can use hot water at the same time.

But we don’t want to do too much too soon! Is there a good solution that will allow us to slowly upgrade the boiler system as our house/family grows?

Apparently we can get the boiler we want now, but hold off from having an unvented pressurised hot water tank. The existing hot water tank (roughly 20 years old) can still be used until we’re ready to upgrade the tank.

Does this make sense? Has anyone had any experience of doing a slow upgrade to the boiler system?
