Towel rail above bath?

The non-tap end. Yay or nay?

We will expect the DC to shower in there every day (rather than use the shower in the en-suite).

There's space on the wall for one large towel rail. I don't think a double-stacked rail will be the answer as I suspect they will refuse to have their towels touching 🙄

If touching is an issue maybe individual hooks would be better. The towels dry better on a rail but I think you are being optimistic to think your children will use a hook or a rail to hang their towel😂

I think they look great, but my teenagers seem unable to use it

Isn’t the bathroom floor the place teenagers hang their towel. Or on their bedroom floor; door, wardrobe door or any other place that is at hand - even the sitting room chair in this house on occasion! I wouldn’t waste money on a towel rail that will probably not ever see a towel hung on it.

Ah, you see, I have a laundry penalty! If I see a towel on the floor, they have to put on, hang and fold a load of laundry. It took DC14 about 6 months to understand and DC12 about 1 week. They currently hang their towels one on a coat stand and the other on a hook. Because they won't share the coat stand as their towels might touch...

I was thinking more of the towels getting wet or being annoying whilst the bath is being used?

I think the towel may get wet when shower is on, but ok if they bathe. I hang a hand towel on a grab rail inside the bath/shower enclosure, but move it to the vanity when having a bath.

I have a towel rail on the wall at the end of my bath. It's a big one The towels don't get wet when I shower & I'm not careful

it's a bit awkward to hang the towels up (but that's probably just because I'm short -under 5foot and where the rails sit) if I had kids I'd get a couple of hooks that go over the rail so there's some chance they'd hang them up (but I like your consequence!!) but it will keep them separate whilst still drying them.

Nay. It would have to be high up on the wall to prevent the towel dangling in the bath and I think that will look silly.
