Shower trap question - Help!

I'd usually ask my DStepD but he's now no longer with us.

I have a shower trap that's so hard to clean! I'm wondering whether I'm missing a trick here and it can be easily taken apart. YouTube isn't helping me, strangely enough!

We might have the same one? Silver bit off and then does it have a mercedes Benz style symbol?

I had to email the company who did our bathroom to get the instructions as I couldn't find them anywhere. If it is the same, I hope this helps :)

There is a Phillips screw that attaches the silver bit to the white bit. Stick the screwdriver down the white tube and unscrew it so you can clean it properly
