Hi all,
I am after some help and insight into the cause of a wall crack? Has anyone experienced similar? The house is around 80-100 years old. We are looking to buy so don’t want to inherit issues! Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert but it looks structural to me, as the bricks have pulled apart along the mortar.

That looks like subsidence. I wouldn’t touch that with a barge pole, sorry.

You can't tell anything from the angle of the photo. It might just need repointing.

How wide is the crack? More or less than the thickness of a pound coin?

Also, is that wall south-facing?
