Help to buy windows and doors

Hi.
Just looking into replacing windows and doors following some concerns raised on a level 2 survey.

Does anyone have a rough idea of costs associated with replacing about 6 windows?

I've been told to look at schemes that help this too.
Found a windows and doors help to buy scheme.
Has anyone got any experience or knowledge of this?

Thanks. FTB stressing about more jobs than expected on the survey!

Based on recent experience in Wiltshire, £2-3k

1k per window if you include making goo/repairing plaster inside.

How much a window cost depends on size, number of openings, energy rating, colour (white upvc is usually cheapest), material (eg uPVC, wood, aluminium), spec etc. Location probably comes into it too. Local companies are cheaper than national ones.

We have just been quoted around £1k plus VAT for a 2.5m wide white UPVC window with a large central pane, two side opening panes and a top opener on the central pane, A rated, double glazed.

Depending on what the issue is, it is often cheaper just to replace the panes if they are blown.

A standard estimate is to budget £500 per window. Obviously small non habitable room windows like say little down stairs toilet windows etc... will be cheaper but its a good way to estimate.

It will be closer to £900-£1,000 for things like french doors.

Some curved bay windows and stuff that need to be custom made could cost a lot more.

Thanks everyone. That's a good starting point.
Small house with not particularly big windows (2 are small bathroom ones) so hopefully this isn't a bit deal on the survey then.
I think there's only 6 windows and one patio door in total.
