Hi! We are thinking of moving to Hillsborough or near by area like Wisewood. We’ve noticed the house prices are pretty reasonable and public transport connections are really good! Are these areas any good for families? And are there any areas worth avoiding?
We’ve got small kids that will be going to primary school very soon, we want to move somewhere safe, clean, well maintained with access to facilities and transport links to the city centre. We’ve seen some houses around Dykes Hall Road/Far Lane and was wondering if these areas are any good. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Forgot to add in my post that the city is Sheffield! Thanks

The high street gets quite noisy at the weekends and there is noise from the tramlines festival in the park for one weekend a year.

It is nice but not a particularly diverse part of sheffield. It is probably on its way up in terms of gentrification. Some nice cafes and shops but also some really random very run down shops.

Sorry. I don't know about roads to avoid but it might be worth looking at school catchments as that is often helpful.
