How long for sol to review searches etc ?

I know it's a how long is a piece of string but can anyone give me an idea or confirm how long it took for your solicitor to review searches/draft contract to then raise enquiries?

Searches due to return the first week of September (will be 5 weeks by the time they come back which is frustrating as they normally only take around 3 but I think the council are milking it due to summer hols) so I'm hoping my solicitor will review these quite quickly once they come back so we can speed things up.

Just feels like it takes forever!

No help to you what so ever, but sharing the frustration.
I just found out my searches still haven't been ordered and I paid 2 weeks ago.
Feel like there's been zero progress 4 weeks since making my offer.

It's such a frustrating process isn't it. In this day and age you'd think it would all be digital.

Is there a reason why your solicitor hasn't ordered them yet? X

I spoke to the receptionist (assuming. It was who ever answered the phone).
She gave a quick read of my file, confirmed a draft contract had been received, could see all the emails where I'd returned documents etc, but no other updates.
She said she'd ask the solicitor or his secretary to update me by email as to where things are at...Still waiting.

Bit annoyed as I was told this firm and specifically this solicitor were good.
The app the use hasn't had anything added since it was started on 1st August.
