Why?! Estate agent repeatedly toggling weekly/monthly/weekly several times a day

I'm mystified. The rental is very expensive and I'm sure they're having a very hard time getting tenants. The EA is toggling it from weekly to monthly and back again, which I'm sure they think is pushing it back into people's inboxes, or at the top of the 'newly added' list, but it's not.

There's some crazy toggling happening. One day, it was done 9 times. Another, 2.

I'm curious as to whether there's something I'm missing that is happening, or if they genuinely think it's bouncing it to the top of the 'just added' list. It seems like an awful lot of work to be putting in to get no results.

(I have Property Log, advert is on Rightmove)

There hasn't been a reduction, btw. Just a ton of toggling.

As an example, say they want say £1100 a month. First time it's advertised at £250 a week, then they change it to £1100 a month, then it goes back to £250 a week. X many times. 'Toggling.'

I've just checked, and they've been doing it with another rental as well.

There's one other agent who is also doing it.

I can only imagine it USED to trigger some kind of action on Rightmove, but no longer does.
