If you own a holiday home, how old were you when you bought it?

DP and I bought our 2 bed flat in our late 20s. We're now 33. Earn a good salary. Don't really need more space as not planning kids until early 40s (adoption). There's a town in Spain we like visiting. You can get a basic 2 bed apartment for about £120k. We could easily afford this without taking a hit to our lifestyle.

Just wondering if anyone else has bought a holiday home fairly young? How old were you?

Not answering your question, but unless one of you has 'EU residency status' you will be restricted to 90 days within the previous 180 for staying in the Schengen area. Although I have heard that Spain is trying to find a way to change this for second home owners.

We bought our second home a couple of years ago (early 50s) - barn conversion in the English countryside, ~£750k.

We were in our early 40s. Canadian Rockies, 8 hour drive.

We were in our early 40s and our DC were early teen/tweens. It's in Mallorca and we still have it
