Hi all, I posted about the leak from the above flat a few weeks ago. The leak was not fixed. yesterday, I walked into a flood in the kitchen, everything soaked. Council has said it's caused by ritual bathing. I have spoken to flat above, who also has leaks and says it's not her fault. The council complaint department have said they can't do anything as its ritual bathing. The repairs guy from the Council said the council does not want to do any repairs as it's costly, and there isn't much I can do. I'm stressed out, and all this is affecting my mental health. Does anyone have any advice on what can I do. I love my flat and have tried to make it a home for me and my girl. Thank you.

The Council can do something, they are just making excuses.

Make a formal complaint CC your Councillor

I might also talk to The Councils Equalities Unit as what you are being told about 'its ritual bathing' is to put it politely BS and the sort of thing that can stir up trouble
