We are close to exchange/completion -
cash buyer- us - moving in with daughter

our solicitors asked for a special condition to be removed from the contract of the house we are purchasing but they said they cant remove it as they have a related transaction.

weve always been told they are moving in with family to ensure a quick chain that completes - what could be a related transaction other than moving into a new home?

Hard to say without knowing what the condition is. Possibly they are using the funds for another purpose (investment in a business/ repayment of debts etc).

Probably repaying debt if they are moving in with family.

To complete by 2pm or completion will be the following day.

That does seem a bit odd then- unless it’s something to do with deadlines for transferring the money from the sale elsewhere on the same day as the sale and the cut off is 2pm.

Perhaps using the money for something in another time zone and after 2pm will be too late
