Antique brass traditional taps/shower - but decent

I like the idea of antique brass traditional look taps/shower but I also want to make sure the quality is good. From good old mumsnet research I've deducted that decent brands for showers include aqualisa and mira and for taps it is crosswater, bristan 1901. Would this be right? The issue I am finding is that the traditional look is widely chrome, hardly ever brass, especially showers, so I'm struggling a bit to find all I need. The brands I've found are milano elizabeth and chatsworth 1928, but perhaps I should stick with chrome and go for crosswater or bristan? Any help?!
