Do nice shower curtains exist?

I need one for the bathroom... bath is blue, which makes finding a complementary shower curtain a bit tricky.

Anyway, used to go to Urban Outfitters for this but they don't sell them on the UK site anymore. But they do on the US one!! Grr.

Has anyone got any experience finding pretty shower curtains which preferably aren't 100% cotton? I'm a bit worried about how the cotton one will manage to dry in our pokey little bathroom.

@SnoopySnoopDoggIsTheBest Ah, Anthropologie's are the ONLY nice ones I've found! (Hello to a fellow afficiado, love the enthusiasm Grin). But unless I'm incorrect, I think they're all cotton? And I'm a bit worried how cotton would fare in our small little bathroom...

What about just getting a shower screen instead?

hedgehoggle · 09/08/2024 16:20

@maplemaplesyrup trying to do the bathroom on a budget so thought a shoer curtain could be a quick, easy "boost"! Otherwise would deffo consider a screen

@gottoget oooh I hadn't thought of Toast! But again, it's cotton.. are all the nice ones cotton?

It’s cotton with a polyester liner - the nice bit doesn’t go in the bath, so it doesn’t get wet the liner goes in the bath and the liner can be upvc or woven polyester

I just googled blue shower curtain and loads came up.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 09/08/2024 18:15

There are loads on eBay and the dreaded Dunhelm has synthetic ones which are robust ( I made a load of shopping bags out of one and outdoor cushions as well).

Gooselady · 09/08/2024 18:20

I just got a plain white one, not glossy. It matches the white towels, bathmat and hand towels. Almost everything else looks a bit tacky imo. The plainer anthropologie ones are nice though.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 09/08/2024 18:39

Nope, shower curtains are not nice.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 09/08/2024 19:14

We always have a "feature" shower curtain. Currently, the periodic table. 100% not cotton. From Amazon.

Snap🤣

When I had a shower curtain used to buy cheap plastic/polyester liners then put the cotton shower curtain over it, also the inner liner can be washed/changed regularly.

Vettrianofan · 09/08/2024 19:25

We also have a shower screen but a part of the bit at the bottom broke so we just use our shower curtain now.

Wash my shower curtain once a week with the towels.

VeronicaCreepcheese · 09/08/2024 20:13

We have two curtains on double hooks - the cheap plastic one goes inside the bath, and the nice one hangs outside and looks pretty.

Got the hooks on Amazon, I think!

It's meant that we've kept our pretty cloth curtain for years because it doesn't get mouldy and wet and so doesn't need washing nearly so often.

hedgehoggle · 09/08/2024 21:21

Thanks so much everyone! I feel inspired to get a pretty cotton one now - I was worried it'd end up soggy and miserable, but think I should be able to keep it looking ok.

The Anthropologie ones are SO nice but SO pricey... must...resist... temptation...! Grin

This is what we've done too. Means it looks decorative rather than soggy.
