like most conservatories it’s too hot and unusable in the summer and absolutely freezing in the winter. It’s currently used as a playroom, it gets a lot of use for the few months a year that it’s an ok temperature.
I WFH and currently have a desk in my spare bedroom, but this takes up wardrobe space which I desperately want back so I’m thinking of replacing the roof on the conservatory to make it usable all year round, I’ll then move my desk there and use the room as an office / playroom.
I’ve had two quotes;
- roof replaced with a tiled roof with new timber structure underneath and plastered ceiling, completed to building regs - £9.3k (Cosyroof)
- current polycarbonate panels replaced with insulated panels, using the existing structure - £6.7k (cosy panels)
which option would you go for?
