Our carper runner is upside down!

Our lovely, lovely handyman has accidentally fitted our carpet runner the wrong side up - so the back of the runner is the part that's visible. Not his fault at all, just a miscommunication. What should I do? Can it be removed and flipped over without damaging the runner?

It doesn't look terrible the way it is but it would look much better rightside up!

Depends on how he fitted it. In our rental our LL said we could take it up. We did, only to discover it had been glued down. It shredded to pieces down both sides.

I don’t think they are all fixed with glue though.

Thank you @KievLoverTwo . I'm pretty sure he has used glue (a fixative spray glue) because it came with the fitting kit we also purchased from the supplier. So although it's not good news, at least I know! I'll learn to live with it I think. It doesn't look the way I would have preferred but it's not terrible.
