Hi, just had an offer accepted for a house we are really keen on and which is of a type that seldomly comes up for sale.
Deceased lived there for 60 years but we just found out that the deeds appeared to have been lost.
Soliticors will apply to Land Registry for title, they seem to think that it is possible that they will secure absolute title but from I have read and heard from other (including my solicitor) is that more more likely to be possessory.
Anyone been in this a similar situation and absolute was granted, I appreciate that possessory can be converted after a number of years.
