Hi all, we are moving soon and the new bedroom is currently dream carpet and white walls. Happy to keep the carpet however I’m really struggling with how to decorate the walls.

The link is my current duvet cover (I have another one that is quite similar). I have light oak drawers/bedside table similar to this: https://www.wayfair.co.uk/furniture/pdp/brambly-cottage-somers-4-drawer-chest-of-drawers-wldh2044.html

I can’t decide whether to do full wallpaper/feature walk or just paint, and I keep going back and forth over colours.

Can any of you suggest some ideas? I’d be so grateful!

Maisie Duvet Set

Maisie Duvet Set features a stunning bright and delicate floral design on a dark background and was inspired by the profusion of beautiful Spring colour in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

Also I have to say it’s a bit unhelpful that in the duvet colour link they just have exactly the same pattern for the wallpaper - I was hoping to glean an idea from it!

It's a lovely duvet. Whatever you do, go for a colour matched with one of the colours on the duvet. You could choose your favourite. There's some beautiful colours in there. I would go for one of the lighter ones, probably the green.

It’s a lovely duvet, but it seems a bit mad to plan everything around one item. The duvet cover suits dark walls and carpets. You have lovely pale carpet and furniture. Personally I think I’d change the duvet cover to something paler and then free up your options colour wise.

Yes I think I’d possibly get a more light coloured duvet cover and live with the room for a bit- then see if you’re feeling it should go darker or stay light/ airy. Buying a new duvet cover is considerably easier than painting the walls multiple times. Whatever you do don’t paint the walls burgundy/ brown! If you’re desperate to decorate I’d go green (either sage or emerald) with a contrasting wallpaper. Or potentially a deep stone colour- like Portland stone from little greene but the dark version.

A dark green would look lovely with that duvet cover
